Sure, Jews couldn't have guns. But Germans could. A lot of them if they so desired. And Austrians were considered Germans. Austria is where Hitler was born, remember? And he certainly considered himself German. Which makes me call bullshit on this. If you intend on the wholesale slaughter of a class of people, getting control of gun ownership is probably a good first step. Not really. For example, gun ownership is, and has been for a long time, very common in Iraq. Even automatic weapons. So what did Saddam do when he came to power? Well, it wasn't confiscating guns. Small arms aren't going to help much against an equipped and trained military.
