Thanks unclewest! Today has been interesting....at least I know I'll be in good hands (no pun intended) The hospital right across from the Surgeon's clinic called and told me the surgery was to be done at the hospital, instead of the clinic...This is right after both places called for all the pre-op info (about 15-20 min each)....I thought at first they didn't know what was going on, but it turns out the Anesthetist who will do that part, decided I'd be safer in the hospital, just in case something happened unexpectedly. This decision put me into the afternoon on Monday, rather than the AM, and they had to change others around, but after we got it untangled, I think it was a good decision. Life surely isn't dull around here.....Lots of prep work had to be done before the surgery, with EKG done no more than 30 days before, and blood work done no more than 2 weeks before, and 2 Doc clearances ....Some of this was repetitive, and more costly than it needed to be, and I just can't imagine the hassle it will be after Obama totally kicks in.... One more thing.... Even though I had seen all these Docs before surgery was contemplated, and all of them agreed, EVERY step of the way, you have to show your drivers license or some other picture ID, as well as your insurance card/s....For ANYONE who thinks that needing a picture ID isn't really necessary, tell that person there will be NO medical care unless you have one.... We ought to be able to tell Voters the same thing... No picture ID, No Vote....
