In Australia, you can't have clips that hold more than 3 rounds. Yet they haven't had a vast increase in homeowners getting plugged. In fact, their rate of gun violence went down after they got rid of semi-automatics and large capacity clips. I'm from NY. Don't give a rat's ass what you or anyone else claims for Australia or anywhere else. What I do understand is that it's now even more likely that a home intruder I may have to face could outgun me............ unless I ignore the law............I don't like that choice.......especially since it's imposed on me by my own government.
