Just listened to the RVBD call (actually its still going). Not surprising that they are hammering it after hours but the overall tone isn't anywhere near as negative as the market reaction, IMO.

I think they will be worth a look after the dust settles. Let the short term traders figure out the bottom then consider an entry. They missed by a few million in revs and guided about 6 or 7 million lower than current estimates for next quarter. They do a lot of business with the govt, so sequestration has been a big factor for the company.

All in all, a solid company. However, this market doesn't take kindly to missing the numbers, to say the least. The new company they bought OPNET was the main reason they missed.... as they do about 30% of biz from the govt.

15 months later and CIEN still has 29% of the float short, up from 27%!!

FNSR up to 19%.

INFN at 14%, EZCH at 11%
