Re: failed Talison takeover,Rockwood stated yesterday in their Investor Day presentation that "acquistion of Talison was a nice thing to have and not a must thing to do" (their emphasis), and further, that "the asset, in our judgement, is not worth the higher value". (i.e. not worth the $7.50 final offer by Tianqui). What else could they say, one wonders ... never a good idea to appear too needy, your next acquisition target may be listening....
