Ok then, however, change doesn't stop at education. That is only a starting place. I have known some very educated serious alcoholics who have fallen into complete dysfunction, who can describe their problems in clinical detail, even while they are drunk. Real change isn't possible without first taking a complete 360 degree view of circumstance, making careful plans on how to effect change, then working with every individual to help them manage the process. No one makes real changes from the status quo unless they are devastated by some crisis that forces them to move off center or unless a supportive structure is in place that helps them work through the change process.
