Tom, My portfolio (which is a net short - heavily) is doing alright, considering the recent surge. I've left too much money on the table in November and cursing myself for that. Right now I am banking on some serioous earnings warnings, which I think are coming our way. My big winner, Motorola is in the bag, hopefully! I think MOT is a perfect short, even at today's levels.
Today I got another bad-breadth alert. It is not as alarming as the two I got earlier - one in Oct and the other in Nov. Neverthless, an alert. The new lows on Nasdaq are alarmingly high. Perhaps NDX is a better short than SPZ. BTW, JBIL is a short on rally. Earnings are out on the 17th and I doubt if they have good things to say. Take it for what it's worth.
