They were probably working off the written version.

Just as I thought. Taken out of context. See, those are two different paragraphs. In case you don't know what that means, let me help you.

A paragraph is a series of sentences that are organized and coherent, and are all related to a single topic. Almost every piece of writing you do that is longer than a few sentences should be organized into paragraphs. This is because paragraphs show a reader where the subdivisions of an essay begin and end, and thus help the reader see the organization of the essay and grasp its main points.

FactCheck.org is not ignoring what he actually said, they are pointing out what he said. Context matter.

Here is an example, on page 141 of the Frank Miller's graphic novel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

Batman narrates

A tiny hand tightens its grip on my arm
a girl of thirteen breaths in sharply, suddenly her innocence lost..

The context of course is that Batman and a 13 year old female Robin have come upon where Joker has poisoned hundred of cub scouts.

You can't take two sentences out of two different paragraphs and claim you are accurately quoting.

What you are is duplicitous and misleading.

Either that, or dumber than a bag of hammers. It is getting harder and harder to tell with you.
