Yes, it was Greenspan that started the tinkering with rates that kept them artificially low and caused the housing bubble.

But now Bernanke has loaded the FED's balance sheet with bonds that have nowhere to go but down.

When rates start rising I would think that the USD would at least initially take a significant hit, which could help gold at least in the short term.

Bush planted the seeds for this mess with his tax cuts and "credit card" wars, but of course Fox and "talk radio" will blame it all on Obama.
