In keeping with the theme of this thread, an actual Free Float accounting of the present market going forward would be a good feature to frame the backdrop of the effects of derivatives on investor portfolios...broker dealers wont like it...but its the one feature that settles debate, where are the shares at any given moment...are there more shares than what are legally authorized, and if so, who is actually setting prices....?

The letter from Craig indicates he expects this site to be profitable. His profile has a quote about the second investor makes the money. (This is almost always true in golf courses, at least if anyone can make money at that sire.) It seems realistic to expect the same type of site as ADVFN. To a monitizer there are always lots of opportunities to advertise.

Change is a fact of life. Those that don't adapt to change perish. This is true in evolution and business.

You left out one of the most colorful characters of all worth noting, the most high, most all knowing "Mr Pink" whos contributions were frequently offered here but rarely visits the site any longer. Who unbeknownst to many on site was one of the more successful hedge fund operators for the longest time, then there was the always exciting Auric Goldfinger who reigned supreme in the short sellers too.

* Though did recieve a pm of thanks from Mr Pink recently just a few mos ago when congratulating him for his activism leading to a new CEO for YHOO after his $1Bil investment in the company last yr, catapaulting his fund to one of the best performers last yr to record +38%.

( If the site were more attuned to investments & stock analysis rather than sidebar political threads by over 50 somethings , that might do much to get SI back on track.)
