Hi Carlton,

Thanks for your support and kind comments.

Re: < GTNR; Rallies of 92, 93, 95 and 97 to date have each produced a lower high. Drawing a trendline from the 92 hi to current high indicates the stock is at a very critical point.. It appears that 1-5/16? needs to remain intact for the AT to continue and that a close at 1.25 would break it. >

Personal Observations: (I am assuming AT means Ascending Trendline.) Any break of a trendline by 3% or more throws that line into doubt. Looking at GTNRs 8 year chart, the peaks of 1993 and 1995 have a particularly ominous bearish bias and it is necessary to keep this in mind if you intend to go long. But what better place to frame an ascending triangle than where it is now?

A close or any trade below $1.25 would diminish the importance of the Ascending Trendline AND it is not uncommon for other patterns to evolve out of established patterns, such as RECTANGLES, which is an excellent TRADING vehicle.
Carlton, nothing is etched in granite, one must be truthful, objective and flexible where HUMAN NATURE is involved. Sticking to the original prognosis in the light of an evolving or changing condition will award nothing more than a BOOBY PRIZE.

Re: < would a one or two day violation cause significant damage? >

Any price violation of the TRENDLINE or SUPPORTS needs your constant vigilance but should not induce one to panic. When the stock is purchased, certain contingencies should already be framed and plans of action contemplated.
Other critical statistical data enters into the mix, such as VOLUME.

Volume should be looked at in determination as to how profound were the trades at those levels. Was the support or trendline violation the product of a 100 share lot or a 30,000 share lot . . . .or was it a GAP that was later filled.
There are many scenarios possible, but without objectivity and confirming data one might act too prematurely and regretfully. It is with the foregoing in mind that I am currently studying JAPANESE CANDLESTICKS.

I consider Japanese Candles an invaluable source for stock analysis and enormous insights into MY personal analysis and reactions in determining the universal actions and reactions of CROWDS.

We should not forget that what we are looking at are maps of HUMAN NATURE.

Best Wishes
Eakole
