It would seem they are avoiding addressing the issue, even CJ posting a transcript that obviously was not a transcript of the speech given. Several Obama supporting sites I read, have had to resort to explaining what Obama meant, instead of what he said, that he got carried away and wasn't talking about firepower, just that Americorps should be funded and supported as well as our military. I don't believe Obama got carried away, I believe he throws it out there, knowing he can "I was just joking" later if called on it. Like congressmen on the floor of the House using their get out of jail free card... "revise and extend my remarks" What you see in the Congressional record isn't what was spoken on the floor.
