I am sure your recollections are better than mine

My original ISP was my local newspaper and I really do not recall the technologies employed

I was never with Compuserve or AOL and really don't know TCP/IP from a hole in the wall

However I managed to connect, I do recall the virtual community concept from the '80's

...and really am not splitting hairs in terms of how the service was delivered, and you may very well be the pioneer in the specific manner of bringing the concept online

Just know I was pissing people off online well before I had access to this excellent channel

I was an original Compuserve user (I even saved their first issue magazine). I also was on their stock forums. When I discovered SI, I also never looked back.
