Kenneth, the following WSJ article looks as if the Fed. Reserve performed as the Republican's wanted the Republican Administration under Bush as he wanted them to do by not lowering interest rates during 2007 or bailing out the markets. But, their action was to late.

However, as reported in another article under the OBama administration stocks soared 85% in OBama's first term. IMO, this is a bad return for 4 years of the Obama administration.

Why doesn't OBama get the respect for his successes for this market? After all, those of us in mutual funds, individual stocks and did not panic and run for the trenches were very successful. The old statement, "buy when the blood is run on the street," holds true in dealing with our emotions when it comes to investing.
