Not by much and seats in the House and Senate barely moved. The Democrats can't claim a whole hell of lot.

Not according to history. The party which wins the presidential election loses seats two years later. Especially when the win is a second term.. .

Just think, we could have elected a president that actually knows about finance....a man that could manage money better in his sleep than 99.9% of whatever crawls and leaves a slug trail out of D.C.

It probably actually matters very little either way, since the man or woman that can break the back of the blobish bureaucracy has not hit the scene yet......and probably never will.

The older I get, the more frivolous and futile it seems to "enjoy" life over whatever group of wastrels happens to have the temporary upper hand in Washington.......damned few of them are worth retaining and the ebb and flow of the two headed snake will continue as long as the voters allow it.

But enjoy it while you can.....Change will always be popular in politics and it's a real shame that it's rarer than Hope diamonds.
