My bread gets moldy really fast. When I bake it, we have to eat it within 3 days- or keep it in the fridge. Pretty much the same for the breads we buy- which have no preservatives. My guess is you are buying breads with preservatives. Not all preservatives are horrible (vinegar and mustard are great for you, and they're preservatives)- but the chemical preservatives, some of which have some iffy qualities, I'd avoid.
