Hi Brumar89; Re Clinton and gun control. Great article. The Republicans are happy to see all the gun grabbers go crazy because it pushes socially conservative Democrats into the Republican party. I'm reading a book that discusses how the Democrats can win back the South and become a national party again, "Blue Dixie". His advice is basically to avoid doing the things the Democrats are doing right now. The last time the Democrats combined social conservatism with economic liberalism was FDR and his Democrats swept the Republicans across the country. The first party that combines economic liberalism with social conservatism will become the next majority party for this country. It might not be very pretty, this is the combination that got Hitler elected (though his social conservatism was very extreme). -- Carl
