Eventually, mankind will evolve with glass plates in our stomachs so we can see what directions we are going.

But what the hell....Osama is dead and his crews are taking over countries as we speak, working their way up to continents.....Don't worry be happy.

TideGilder,
That is what happens when the interest is in winning, not solving problems. Seems the only intent in being elected is to line your own purse and that of your cronies.
Now, you have finally gotten the purpose of election - the interest is in winning. If you have read my previous post I have expressed that statement. My wife worked for two governors, senators and representatives in my State. I have run campaigns! I never coached any sport, nor run a campaign going into the game to lose.

The purpose is to WIN. Why do you think that prior and beginning a campaign that fundraising, candidate opposition research/discovery, polling for the bias of constituents, packaging of the media presentation and candidate platform, re-polling and getting out the vote strategies happens? It is all about getting your candidate elected. Remember it is not the candidate who is packaged with his bias but the voter. It is like marketing in the business world-giving the customer what he wants. I have always explained to individuals, "we elect the best of the worse legislators that money can buy." Sad but true! It is all about packaging your candidate around the bias of the constituents.
