Hi combjelly; Re: "Ok. So you are down with the idea that the school [where Obama's kids go] is lying about [having armed security officers]."

No.

They're not lying.

They're saying that "their security officers" do not have guns. Here's their statement, as quoted all over the web:

“Sidwell Friends security officers do not carry guns.”

Is a Secret Service officer a "Sidwell Friends security officer"?

No.

The Secret Service are not Sidwell Friends security officers. Nor is it the business of Sidwell as to whether or not the Secret Service officers carry weapons. If you want to know the answer to that question, ask the Secret Service.

So they're telling the truth in the usual way that lawyers do. And they're telling it in a way to make the political opposition look bad.

The upshot is that Obama's kids are protected by armed security personnel, just as the NRA says.
