"For example, liberals totally ignore the science of B. F. Skinner, which told us years ago that if you give people money not to work, you'll get more people not working. With some frequency, I hear liberals totally ignore this absolute fact (Pete Dominick's favorite response to the claim is, "I just don't believe that.") Science, indeed"

An increasing portion of our population is becoming unemployable because they lack the skills or education to do a job requiring new people..... I listened to a lecture about 20 years ago given by a NASA scientist who described an experiment in which a group of people were paid "not to work" to determine what can be done with people who are unemployable. Within a short time they were very unhappy not doing anything in the way of work......however after about 6 months they began to adjust to the idleness and spent their time watching TV or other such pastimes.
We all know people such as this.

The conclusion of the experiment was that it may turn out that we may have to pay to entertain the unemployables.... We may be seeing the beginnings of that with the difficult to break 8% unemployed rate... There are lots of skilled job openings going unfilled.

"Liberal idol Jon Stewart doesn't understand the different between the "deficit" and the "national debt".

Wow...so we have an accounting major anxious to show how smart he is....

"3d printing will, in the coming several years, be able to support manufacturing of workable weapons. That's really absurd when you think about it."

Is currently feasible but expensive and certainly won't be ready in "several years"...

In other words, you have nothing.

Ignoring is not attacking. Trying to get people fired because the work they are doing yields result that contradict your politics is. Claiming that entire fields of science are engaging in a massive, decades long conspiracy is.

As far as the materials to create working weapons, they already do. A PLA knife can easily slit your throat. But the idea that reasonable gun control measures cannot be taken because people will soon be printing them out is silly. The existing technology to do something like that requires lasers of more than 200 watts.

Now there may be a technology developed in the future that uses some other method, but...

Because it is not enough to merely fuse the metal particles. It also needs to be dense, which means fully melting the metal particles. And, because it is fine metal particles we are talking about, it has to be done in an inert atmosphere.

This is not carefully picking the science. It is what is called "knowing what you are talking about".
