Not what I am talking about. Scientists get openly attacked for publishing things you whackadoodles don't like. There have been attempts to get some fired. This is beyond budget cutting.

Which the Republicans strangely seem to only want to do for things they don't like. If the idea is to cut back on spending, everything should be on the table. But it is not. Seems like their goal is different from what they espouse.

It is like taxes. They seem to be fine with the payroll tax cut expiring. But were willing to torpedo the economy to stop taxes for the upper 2 percent going up. Who, by the way are unaffected by the increase in payroll taxes. Why was that, TC?
