I don't expect the Premier to understand world economics as he does not understand Saskatchewan's economics.

It appears the Premier also doesn't understand that Obama's largest contributor, Warren Buffett, also owns the railroad that ships oil from the Bakken.

The Premier should focus... Everyone has NIMBY issues.. (I don't disagree with you)

approve the Keystone XL project.... still not optimal... we remain affixed to the US teat.. ie we are not a real country.. Keystone should be secondary.. We will never realise full value for product with Keystone.... subject again to the whims of others...

Wall was the only Canadian premier who signed the letter. .. Surprised ?

I guess Canadian mentality relegates us to second best..

There are other important XL pipeline facts Wall apparently is ignorant about:

1)50% of pipeline capacity is/was dedicated to US Bakken production out of the Dakotas
2)Of the remaining 50% capacity, 25% is booked by Exxon's subsidiary, Imperial Oil for Kearl production
3)The remaining 25% is booked by various oil sands producers leaving little or no room for Wall's Bakken production

If Wall wants to be productive, he should be pushing Ottawa for oil pipelines to the west coast to Asian markets, followed by oil pipeline east to European markets

Then again, perhaps he does know all this and Brad's letter is all about political grand standing for the audience and electorate at home.....
