Don't forget Claris Home Page(AAPL). I wouldn't use it(prefer BBEdit/GoLive Cyberstudio combo), but Home Page is just fine for the same people who use Front Page. It's also being actively updated/upgraded with new features all the time. Agreed that WebObjects is pricey, but it's not for slapping up a page with pictures of your grandkids. It's a real business solution. However, I do think some seeding would benefit the platform. Dirk

When I rewrote my page from scratch (our server died and I decided it needed an overhaul anyways), I used Netscape Composer to layout the images. It actually did a fairly decent job. It is nice for some of the tedious tasks of figuring out how much space you need between things as you just drag the image to the place on the page where you want it. I then went into the source code modified all of the other things I wanted to do. I use pico or vi to update it. My page isn't too fancy. It has frames, but no java as I find java applets/beans to run too slow on many machines. Overall, I've found that programs like Composer and Front Page are a good starting point, but are still very limited and produce pages that look very ordinary. I haven't tried BBEdit, but I haven't felt the need to update my page lately. Thanks for the comments. -Dylan

Just a reminder: If anyone comes across updated sales figures from the Apple Store, I'm sure we'd all love to see them. What with all the horror stories from CompUSA customers (surprise, surprise), I would be surprised if Steve didn't give everyone an update at MacWorld. It won't bode well for the coming year if Apple doesn't do a pretty brisk business during the Christmas shopping season. Does anyone know the flying time from Cupertino, CA to Redmond, WA for a helicopter carrying a pilot and two passengers? Just curious.... "O.J., is that you?" Good luck to us all tomorrow.
