The larger magazine sure would be handy if you had to deal with multiple assailants....like a home invasion type scenario....

Sort of depends on the situation - sometimes home invasions involve three or more perps.

For the AR platform - a 20/30 round magazine is considered standard capacity and that's what is was designed for - high capacity is 90 or 100 round drums.
