I thought we were talking about illegal sales of information. The difference then is someone selling the information after I have given for them to have it, vs some govt bureaucrat accessing the information and selling it. Both would be illegal but we are more at risk with a national archive, or an archive that is accessible by government employees, for whom I have not granted permission. I was asking if ObamaCare included something like that.

Hi Tenchusatsu; Re: "No she can't. She is legally required to use the information only for the use of patient care and not for any other reason, which includes selling for a profit."

I propose making it illegal to murder someone with a gun. That will eliminate all those nasty gun death statistics people are complaining about. Simple and easy, why didn't I see it before.

I guess we should also make it illegal for hackers to hack government computers.
