We need to back off on the TSA stuff too. It's not accomplishing anything and we shouldn't be doing stuff that are pointless. In reality, there's not going to be any gun ban and no big new federal registration scheme. All the Dems are doing is 1) pleasing their base that hates the kind of people that own guns and 2) killing the electoral chances of Democrats in red states.

People need to control their firearms, but law-abiding people who tell the government where their firearms are serve no purpose, whatsoever. And non law-abiding people aren't going to comply. Perhaps you can point to an example where it would have made a difference?
