There are no ends to a potential ban list then. fatty foods, sugar, ground vehicles, sports, aircraft would all have to be banned. Heck I could make an argument that doctors and nurses be banned or even hospitals because of medical mistakes that kill hundreds of thousands and permanently injure hundreds of thousands more. Hospitals are breeding ground for infection. Could go further and ban leaving the home because of the risk of injury. But wait, most falling injuries occur within the home. Ban homes.

And then they slammed the doors shut, effectively preventing competition. Now, you have Oaklawn packed with the poorest people in town playing slot games that return 90-95% (vs. 98-99% in ordinary casinos) as a result of no competition. Pathetic. So the question is why should government have the right to say these two operators can open casinos but Harrahs can't? If the operators are legitimate then I can't really see why government ought to be in the way. Of course, last year, they threw out two additional operators' petitions on technicalities -- after Oaklawn and Southland dumped money into fighting them. Seems to me freedom in this country becomes a more distant thing as the days go by. And both political parties are at fault imo.
