I believe in free markets. (Call me Don Quixote.) Capitalism, not so much any more... see too many examples of power illegally wielded to ensure monopoly (or near monopoly.) Too many examples of great ideas being crushed to preserve cash cows or broaden market share. Have also seen many takeovers and makeovers of sites online, and the results are very, very rarely an improvement for the existing market. Then there are the cases of change for the sake of change, just to put the mark of another programmer (or owner) on a site. SI has worked for the people using it for a long time. Putting a new face on it is not needed or wanted. The new owners are already off to a bad start.
