I don't mind the Ravens playing tough football (which the Patriots certainly didn't do), but the obvious intent to knock players out of the game was bad. And those pussy announcers (Nance particularly) not having the balls to bring it up and call them cheap head shots. And, Ray Lewis is a buffoon who should buy himself a white suit after he retires. He's become a caricature of himself. Having said all that ......the team I'm really pissed at is the Patriots....they've all "gone Corporate" as Clappy says. Not one player smashed a helmet against a locker, or kicked over the Gatorade cooler, or got in their teammates faces.....nobody was pissed...no intensity or passion...you'd have thought they lost an October inter conference game. After the game it was all corporate speak..."it is what it is, we have to move on, we didn't execute....blah blah blah" Bullshit....they go their asses handed to them by a tougher team who wanted it more. It's the Teddy Bruschi's, John Hannah's, Rodney Harrisons, that I remember as Patriots having some "edge"....they never would have let that game get away from them or would have died trying. I understand these are all incredible athletes, but I think they have been "sanded down" by the system...there has to be passion. Brady ducking because the ref got in the way...really?....he should have buried that ref and gotten the first down (and yes he's an amazing quarterback). The lack of passion and intensity allowed the Ravens to beat the shit out of them in the second half. Finesse teams don't make it to the Superbowl....passionate, edgy teams do. The Patriots were not among that group this year. San Francisco deserves to be there as do the Ravens. But, I hope the Niners beat the shit out of them. Altair19 p.s. now I feel better....and, the Bruins are 2-0
