Nah, I understand the network effect, the attraction of "all companies, all smart people in the same area", etc.

But it works until it doesn't. Detroit/Midwest was the same with auto industry - until it wasn't.

And the price differential vs. the rest of the country is getting higher and higher, which is also not sustainable at some point.

But sure, it may last another 10-20-whatever years. It just sucks for non multimillionaire techies. And trust me there are more of them than you'd think. ;)
