A third of the cost of the stimulus was tax breaks. Are you now claiming that tax cuts aren't stimulative? Or does that only work for tax cuts to the wealthy?

People who analyze such things for a living seem to think so.

As the latter notes, it was only temporary. Which is what it had as a goal. Unemployment almost certainly gotten much worse than if the stimulus bill wasn't passed. Where that would have left the economy is anyone's guess, but it likely would not have been good.
