What need?

Something of importance to all of us that you won't splash at the top of every SI page, in a yellow banner, or just change willy nilly anyway, whether you Twit about it or not?

I mean, you have 131 "friends" on Facebook now. (Excluding me, I don't do Facebook anymore. And I certainly don't Twit.)

One hundred and thirty one.

Pathetic.

I - an absolute nobody - had over 700 "friends" when I walked away from that waste of my time, nearly two years ago.

131. Geez. My dead dog could get more "friends" than that.

"Get my meaning, catch my drift," as The Firesign Theatre used to say?

"Keep yer eyes on the prize."

Facebook and Twitter ain't it for you.

SI IS.

You are probably right. SI needs Twitter.

The more I think about it, the more I look at my own postings and postings on forums I follow, the more I realize that SI is largely populated / dominated by opinionated old gizzards who made money years ago when they were less opinionated / still in money making / risk embracing mode.

Take the RIM forum as an example. Here is a stock which doubled in a few months. 225 posts! A few years ago there would have been 22,500 posts.

It’s gonna take a miracle ...
