Just goes to show that a few weeks before the March 10th 2000 top.......with the NASD bubbling along at 5000
we knew that the Market hocus pocus.... does not go on forever.

Hi Def,

Quantum Physics is a good place to hang out...forget all this market hocus pocus -vbg-

I do recall the conversation about Superstring theory. "elegant Universe" sounds like a good read, I'll look to add to my shopping cart .

many thanks,

John

Hey, JP, I followed you over here while looking
for some more of your nifty technical charts.
Currently I'm reading the "Elegant Universe" by Brian
Greene. Remember that conversation we had (a year ago?)
about superstring theory??? The book mentioned does
a good job, so far, of describing its potential
significance. It even helped me appreciate the
yet-to-be-verified discovery of gluon plasma at CERN
a few weeks ago.

Win or lose, everybody gets what they want out of the market. Some people seem to like to lose, so they win by losing money. Ed Sekoyta............interview 2 of the 1st market wizards books.

Slevinov, after having been the only poster in 13 years to address me as Pitera, and not John in the intro, as is custom among friends and is the protocal on this board......we are not rigid on Etiquette . There is no written code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior according to contemporary conventional norms within a society, social class, or group. The French word étiquette, literally signifying a tag or label first appeared in English around 1750.[1]

he asked to be banned and I asceeded to his wishes. I have been able to run one of the top 5 thinking boards on SI with no Off topic......... fluff. while only needing to ban one crazy poster ...... after I had 20 people told me to ban him..... Ramymond Duray.

i'm in keeping with the times and will much as they did with Fyodor Dostoyevsky........ blindfold them and take them out to the wall to be shot...... although....... our Crime and Punishement and Brother Karazimov....author survived his mock execution........Lord knows why he did..... it was a connected relative I believe

Crime and Punishment the cliff notes version is that Raskolnikov is a poor Russian student renting a room from a "wealthy" old woman who owns the boarding house and has jewerly and other valuable positions... and yet he is a smart young rising man of intelligence and she is the beneficiary of the stupid widow and old lady club....... has she earned what she has he does not know, but they are holding he and his family back....... his internal dialogue is that she is wasting spaced and not properly allocating assets ....... thus he should kill her and put her assets to work in the furthering of his studies...... as he is much more intelligence and will be a better instrument to advance social causes of getting the money and capital out of the idiot old folks who may have worked harder than he did to obtain them , but at this point they need to be confiscated ..... with a death panel of one and an ax to the head.....so that their resources can be given to the youth who.... in Raskolnikov's 22 year old mine, have all the answers to social justice.

is this an allegory to today...... yes......luckily those that run the world have created a world that inures them from the vicitudes of the 98%-99.5% that have no clue how the world works and only know that they want the bling.........

we are blessed to have a public front of so called rich......

Friedrich Nietzsche would not have written his books on the UBER man and hiz canon of books if the Russians had killed Fyodor Dostoyevsky
