Wasn't there one less week in this holiday quarter than in the one last year? Do the wall street talking heads ever consider factors like that?

I suppose the market is having a hard time believing Apple can still destroy expectations.

They're saying from now on they're not going to sandbag guidance. Which I respect, but short term kills the stockholders.

$463 at the moment. $666 a distant dream.

Apple continues to beat it's own forecasts and meet analyst expectations. Analysts need to simply get in line with Apple's guidance and leave some room for upside.

It would be nice see Apple do something productive with all that cash they are sitting on. $137 billion covers their dividend for the next 13 years. If they generated $23 billion in Free cash flow this quarter, I expect that they should be paying more than $2.5 billion in dividends. Time to give the shareholders another raise this Spring, but they might take their time since they just announced their Jan. dividend today. I'd like to see them get out in front of the next dividend increase, even if they delayed it by 1 or 2 quarters like they did last year.

Doren,

For me, if the PE was sky high for Apple, I would be disappointed. However, in my mind, these results were already baked into the present share price and then some. I get the feeling that some think Apple is only worth their cash on hand. Subtracting out the cash, Apple is trading at a tiny PE. Growth is slowing but Apple wasn't priced like a company that was going to grow at 30%. JMO though.

Good luck out there.

Neal
