Interestingly, if apple had not screwed up their computer business and had been able to achieve a more normal result on the mac side of the business, the revenue and profit numbers might have made the cut. Everything happens on the margins - 2%, 3% matters. The bull about canniblization of mac sales by ipad is bull. Mac sales were weak because the product line has been neglected and they effectively did not have desktop line to sell. True. Not much seems to have been made of the fact that the one true "miss" in this report is Mac sales. You can't come in light by a million computers and end up beating estimates.
