What happened sounds kinda' odd to me.

As I suggested before, you will do well to see that your pc is virus free and your pc registry is fixed and clear of malware & etc. Also, ensure you have the latest version of JAVA. Get someone (friend or store guy) to help you.

When you copy a link, ensure the entire link is highlighted first before you copy it.
Don't just place your cursor over the link and right-click on it and then click on
copy that appears on the drop-down menu.

Verizon may not be slowing things for you. How about sending the links to another pc, try out the links there, and see what results you get.

Oops! I forgot to mention this in my last post.
The slowness of your pc may be simply due to the memory space of your pc being low and getting lower.
That is, your pc is almost running out of memory space.

The remedy for this is to delete all unwanted files ---- unwanted emails and unwanted pictures and unwanted documents from your hard drive.

Then go to your browser page, locate TOOLS on the toolbar at the top of your screen and click on it.
On the drop-down menu that appears, click on INTERNET OPTIONS (usually at the bottom of it.)

On the page that appears next, locate BROWSING HISTORY, and click on Delete.
Then reboot your computer.

OR you may wish to reduce clutter on your hard drive (thereby freeing up memory space) by transferring some files to an external drive, say, a USB connected Passport drive. Your computer store will be glad to
help you and tell you the advantages/benefits of doing this.

Remember: Life processes consist of FILLING, TRANSPORTING & EMPTYING !!! Just as you have to empty your big gut regularly (shit) to maintain good health, you will have to do same for your pc.
