The Bludger redistributionists don't understand that it takes actual effort and personal risk to achieve great things. They should learn to worship those who do great things and thereby earn huge amounts of money instead of indulging themselves with envy, one of the seven cardinal sins. They should not vote to rob the rich, as though legal robbery is any less criminal than common theft with menaces.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his need
The assumption in that ideology is that a third party superior to both does the deciding. In more enlightened government, the individual is sovereign with the state protecting individuals' private property against chimpoid depredations. Peculiarly, in modern life, the democratic state has flipped and has become just another variation on thieving totalitarian conquering dominance hierarchy for the benefit of those who contrive to get themselves into courtier and crony status. There has always been enough of that but government share of the economy is about half these days.
For the good of everyone.

If everyone knows the future price of gold in US$ precisely, it won't help at all. The problems result from kleptocratic wastrel spendthrift totalitarians. The price of gold is just a response to that.

Democratic states these days are little more than Mafia organisations with people paying protection money to avoid themselves being attacked. The Mafia distributes the funds to their enforcers and gang members who keep them in power.
