Your right Typhoon, until/if the deal is done, is when they'll get the money. Period. No crap about interest.

"1. What is the status of the merger agreement?

5 years.

7) they said that the contributor of the $10,000,000.00 is holding off
til' the last moment because of the interest that the 10,000,000.00
generates.
I was hopin' we'd hear somethin' today or tommorow, Pugs

The signed agreement scheduled to take place last week includes a loan at 7.25% The agreement has been signed, the funding appears available based on comments, and 1/2 of the cash will earn the lender 7.25%. They would not be losing interest on the loan portion, and in all probability, would increase their interest rate earned since short term rates are below that.

The other $5,000,000 in equity I do not understand fully, does anyone else? How is this transaction actually being set up?

Typhoon,

anybody who would invest 5mil dollars at 7.25% interest on this kind of risky business might as well throw their money in a woodburner.
why not buy a gov't bond with close to no risk?

I think everybody is a bit edgy waiting for a deal that was suppose
to close at the end of November.

A couple of weeks interest on $10m is probably worth about $20k or more. If it were your $10m, wouldn't you want to hang onto it up until the deal is finally closed, or would you throw that cash in the woodburner?
