Re: Tax loss selling

That is my theory as well, although I am thinking of buying in the last couple trading days of December. Why would you buy in the 3rd week in December? Won't some of the tax selling occur at the very last of the year?

Thanks
JonK

I don't quite understand about this tax strategy. If they lost some
money from BOST, why don't they hold it, there may be a rebound next year, who knows?

Is the tax-loss selling over or has it not started yet? (EOM)

Candle stick,

I just read your initial post on BOST and found it very instightful. What is your read on APPB, since I just recommended it to my stock club, and they (we) just bought 100 shares.

We thought it looked healthy with a P/E at or below their historical growth rate, relatively low debt, and good prospects for future store expansion.

We thought about buying OSSI instead but APPBs P/E was lower. APPB's debt/equity ratio was significantly lower than OSSIs. Also, we liked the fact that APPB can vary its menu as needed whereas a steakhouse is a steakhouse....

Hi Candle stick,

What are your thoughts on the huge short position on BOST ? I believe there are 21M shorts which is enormous given the average daily volume and the size of the float. What will it take for the shorts to decide that BOST has gone down as far as it will and begin covering ? Any price targets for the short covering rally ?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
