I'm not suggesting you should take my word for anything. I'm simply arguing about which policy is better. I do not see Rs as a significant improvement over Ds on these matters, except that a few Rs are committed to reducing government spending which would be the best thing for our economy. While there is likely some minimal short term negative associated with massive budget cuts, in the long run it is the best thing.

The problem is that politicians don't want to listen to the whining when we have to take our medicine.

A total absence of political courage on both sides with a few minor exceptions in the House. We need a massive reduction in federal spending and there is no will to do it. So we will continue until the economy collapses, and a long, 20 or 50 year period of rebuilding will be required, sucking up the entire lives of some unlucky generation.

All because this generation chose the easy way out.
