Yep, Bubba blew it on Glass-Steagall. But I think your claim that a President has that kind of control over the Fed is a bit far-fetched.

As to Congress, are you forgetting it was controlled by Republicans until 2006?

And no, I don't think the way Obama has coddled the bankers is good. They have made it clear that they consider fines to be the cost of doing business and not a deterrent.

Learn your gov't......direct oversight of industry in this country is done primarily by the executive branch. You can't expect good oversight by an administration if they don't believe good governance is possible. The Bush administration fukked up big time.

BTW you never said whom you voted for president?
