Satish, Re -- My son showed me an independent performance comparison that shows the K6-233 is as good as PII-233 MMX from Intel. So we bought one because of the price difference. This does not connect with you being a hardware engineer. The K6/233 was initially speced at 3.2 volts. Increasing the voltage to 3.3 volts, implies that the chip is now operating at the max/outside the limits of the spec. Being a hardware engineer, you should know that, at these levels, reliability and the life of the chip is at risk. Furthermore check the heat generated. Stockman

Satish, We are in the biz of mem and etc. we have run test,AMD is good chip. the intelites spread garbage about amd and cyrx,stockman and alike. but, the cyrites and amdites do the same thing... AMD,Cyrx,intel ...none of them are having after sales problems with their cpus...intel is pissed that they had to drastically drop prices and amd and cyrx are ticked that they can't meet demand... in amd 's case it's yeild and supply...cyrx didn't have fab til buyout but,amd sells every chip they make..... So, I've stayed out of the pissing contest between the two. but, it's alittle irrating to say something postive about intel and get 10 posts from amd and cyrx guys on the fact that you are a piece of dog meat...then say something postive about amd and get ten posts from intellers saying the same . by far the intel crowd are so abassive they make me look like Mary Poppins. I did make allot of money off AMD..it was perfect cc stock.. made money on puts and calls and selling puts
