Yes, they are creating the nuts and bolts of mobile Cyberspace [and Cyberspace in general] but the intellectual aspect is still missing.
Tech does look good.. .. the hate is now coming off.. much thanks to Apple, Google, Amazon. Ebay... even Microsoft.. etc etc.. all purveyors of what will be.. :O)
Google is providing knowledge/memory and pretty good access to it. Knowledge and recall are essential ingredients of intellectual heft but it's not the main aspect, which is the thinking department, which is a value analyzing function.

Please tell me if you come across a company doing the thinking, meaning it will tell people what to do next - not subverting individual free will but assisting. Not so people become a node in the Cyborg though that's an inevitable and predictable trend which we have already grown accustomed to as serfs of the leviathan state. States will find their serfs escaping to join Cyberspace. There will be conflict as feudal overlords and slave drivers do not take kindly to their serfs and slaves making a break for freedom.
