You could build your own, I would paint it before putting the safety labels on though. I do like how he substituted fibre optic cable for yellow wire, might need to pick up a dremel. It would be easier to plan how to mount it and make sure it fits too.

I think those normal spiders are all loopy (probably don't have a firm grounding anywhere), it looks like the one on LSD knows the process and what is needed. I don't see the spider (or any guests) so the good vibrations haven't started yet. The spider is probably using a good place where he stores his maps, artist renditions and feasibility studies to communicate with the various UFOs about the web. This allows him to eliminate resistance beforehand, add lightning and finalize the dinner menu, thereby preventing a whole bunch of web changes (and inappropriate dinner lightning) when the UFOs actually do arrive for dinner.
