Excuse me but how law abiding were Adam Lanza and the clown in Aurora? Adam Lanza was not a legal gun owner - although he probably could have bought rifles at his age. The trouble with him is we all thought the mental health checks were added to NICS and his mother had a nutcase in her house and failed to secure her legally owned firearms. The Aurora shooter while a legal gun owner should have been reported by mental health officials. In both cases these are not the normal way 500 kids die in Chicago each year and are aberrations not the norm fortunately. As usual you choose the sensational since you have run out of solutions for Chicago and other inner city shootings by illegally carried guns and gangs. As long as criminal gang members are only shooting other gang members it appears to be fine with democrats.
