I haven't been to Seattle in six years... Sounds like even more construction going on downtown recently than even during the housing bubble?

I think you are right. The aught years were slow growth years for DT Seattle.........in fact, for the entire metro area. Just 4 years ago, AMZN was on a hill near where I live. Their move downtown has set off a leasing boom no one could have anticipated. And its not just AMZN, google, intel, f-5, facebook and smaller tech cos. are all expanding in the DT area. And then an insurance company moved its headquarters from Tacoma to DT Seattle. Even Boeing has gotten into the act taking DT office space for the first time in 60 years. And just like millennials in other cities, the millennials here are moving DT.......which has set off a residential boom. Then there is all the new retail DT.......Target, Zara, a new Nordstrom's Rack, new restaurants, etc. So the city is expanding at a rate that previously, I have never witnessed. It feels a little out of control right now.

Let me add........the whole west coast seems to be experiencing a strong recovery. In most west coast cities, housing inventories have dropped by 40-50% in the last year.
