Mohan,

From the Skeptical Investor link I posted a few days earlier:

>>Point 1: Watch not only whether the crisis continues to spread geographically but also what is happening in those economies that receive IMF help.

Todays results:

"Asian currencies routed in plunge to record lows"

"Thailand is struggling to fend off a further downgrade in its credit rating after Moody's Investors Service last week reduced its sovereign rating to only one level above a junk grade."
afr.com.au

IMF help is not working because this is a systemic problem not an isolated one country incident like Mexico was in 95. It's called massive over capacity coupled with poor wealth distribution and staggering debt.

Mohan,
If I may be so bold, it sounds like these up days are getting to you. Your reasoning is sound, so do you think you need to roll out your positions so far out right now and pay dearly for the time premiums? I don't know. I have a few Dec. puts that did not do well today, but I would prefer to see how the week plays out. I still believe in the "smoke and mirrors" theory about this market in the near term...but my theories rarely make me money. FWIW
Good Luck.
