The last day of trading is the last trading day of December. You must also understand the tax law called the Wash Rule (you cannot (taxwise) buy back the same stock ans similar number of shares within 30 days of the sale.... otherwise you cannot declare your sell as a loss.
Also, many mutual funds close their year in December, ... many Fidelity Funds close on December 15. I do not know whether they have the same Wash Sale rule... but in any case, many professional investors reinvest already in December, especially mid to end of December if the outlook is good for the stock market and the equity in question.
All that does not mean much for VASO as a rebound from here will probably not be sustained,... unless there is some good news from the company (another study, increase sales/leasing).
