Exactly! This is why so much of the Americas is a Spanish/Aboriginal hybrid. Slavery and the import of Africans was also done by both Portugese and Spanish--but not to the extent of those who owned and settled much of the the Americas--the British. Just as Spaniards interbred with Mayans, etc.--so did Scots and French interbreed with Indians. But the importation of blacks was for the labor of landowners. American landowners were British. Spaniards living in the Americas often used local natives as ready made slaves. But Mexico is not a black culture...
