Apparently Krugman served on an advisory board for Enron.

In 1999.

For 4 days.

He bailed early when he accepted the job at the NYT.

Given the things the Right can whip themselves up into a frenzy about, this one is par for the course. And, of course, it is a sign of extreme liberal bias if you don't buy into their conspiracy theories...

Krugman served on an advisory board for Enron and wrote a flack piece hyping it in Fortune. Hype, to keep the stock price up, was part of Enron's MO.

CJ claims he was only on the board for 4 days but I think he made that up. No one knows how long he was on the board as his 'job' consisted of praising the company in the press (hype) and lending his name. He was a columnist for Fortune at the time. It speaks to his judgment and ethical stature.
